I was going to try and catch up with my blogging about my surviving colon cancer but that was hard. This blog will be the update and then from now on once a week I'll post about my progress.

The last post I mentioned my urologist told me I had a 5% chance of peeing again. No way was I going to listen to that noise. I am a big believer of “I Am” statements. Kody Bateman teaches us this in Send Out Cards.

On a 3 x 5 card I wrote “I am peeing freely and completely emptying my bladder.” Took me 3 weeks after my test with the urologist to be peeing freely and emptying my bladder.

Your mind is an amazing thing. If you keep telling yourself things your mind takes over and makes it happen. At least that's what I think.

I have been dealing with neuropathy. I have it in my feet, hands, and legs. It started in my feet. They always kind of feel like they are asleep. But they are getting better. My fingertips feel like pins and needles. They actually hurt sometimes. Very hard to type. My legs feel like I have tight socks on them. Goes from my calves to above my knees. All of this is a bummer but it is going to go away.

“I am neuropathy free.” I have that on a 3 x 5 card too.

I have all my energy back. I try to exercise at least an hour a day. I walk, bike or jog. Walking is the easiest so I do that the most. I'm starting to jog just to build up my endurance. But I'm also going to run some short races. And of course wear my t-shirt that says, “I'm a Colon Cancer Survivor.”

My wife and I like to bike. We went for 20 miles last Saturday and today I jogged 3 miles.

I am pumped
